Dublin Landings is a commercial and residential development in the Docklands SDZ in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) The investment comprises 300 apartments, 70,000 square meters of retail space and 1,600 square meters of service and entertainment space.
The complex of five buildings constructed in an area of 2.35 hectares was developed by Ballymore Group and Oxley Holdings, and the tenants include such well-known companies as WeWork, NTMA, NAMA and Central Bank of Ireland. Greystar acquired 268 apartments and 210 parking spaces in July 2019 for approximately EUR 154.6 million, and the Central Bank of Irleand acquired buildings 4 and 5 for a total sum of EUR 210 million in the same year. Building nr. 2 Dublin Landings was renamed to the Treasury Dock. Alongside construction of the Landings a new urban district has sprung up on Dublin's docks. Striking architecture and inspiring landscapes place Dublin Landings amongst the most charming places in the capital of Ireland. Offices, apartments and shops elevated the Landings to be Dublin's new commercial heart.

PROJECT
The Landings was conceived to become Dublin’s most bustling district. The complex was designed in a way that embody city’s new image, confident and ambitious, but always friendly to all of its residents. Well connected by public transport network and situated between Dublin International Airport and the historic city center, is the perfect gateway to the city, but also a destination all in itself located in the heart of the Docklands commercial district, which attracted some of the greatest  international organizations such as Google, Facebook and PwD. Thoughtful, sensitive architecture opened the Landings towards the River Liffey, taking from rich historical heritage of the Dublin’s Docks, and the tree-lined avenues and squares give this modern center the dimension of a nature-friendly place, conducive not only to work, but also to relaxation.

DEVELOPMENT
It was decided at an early stage of the project that the facades would be formed from prefabricated elements, partly for design and cost reasons, but above all to achieve the highest level of quality and precise expression of the facades. Techrete company has designed, produced ane then raised and sealed the architectural precast cladding on the facade of the building. The first task was to find a facade design that matched the tone of the area that was already filled with tall buildings, some of which had very original and unique facades. It was decided that brick facade units would be used both to adapt to the style of the surroundings and to allow the facade to stand out. The façade was covered with 5,805 square meters of brick wall panels. The façade assembly was done using tower cranes and proceeded relatively smoothly, with the exception of the ESB substation where the panels had to be installed with a mobile crane which was allowed to operate at a limited height due to its proximity to the Irish central bank building.

EFFECT
New buildings were built using different materials: natural wood, bricks, stone, iron and glass. The buildings varied in scale and form. They are, however, strongly inscribed in the specificity and identity of the place. The overall form was created with diversity and variability in mind, which was achieved thanks to the diverse scale of buildings and the use of different roof forms. In addition, the strategic placement of buildings of varying proportions and scale allowed for opening views of the River Liffey and sunlight. The result is a modern and glamorous estate that has re-connected the area to the history of the docks and the River Liffey.
